Manuel Powell is a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) and Virginia Resident in Counseling with over 8 years of experience working in diverse mental health settings, including private practice, outpatient treatment, inpatient psychiatric care, and community mental health services. He has supported adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, emotional dysregulation, substance use challenges, grief, adjustment concerns, and major life transitions.
Manuel’s therapeutic style is warm, collaborative, and deeply client-centered. He believes meaningful healing begins in a safe, supportive therapeutic relationship where clients feel genuinely seen, heard, and empowered. His approach combines evidence-based modalities such as Motivational interviewing, psychodynamic therapy, mindfulness practices, and solution-focused interventions to help clients move toward sustainable emotional wellness and personal growth.
Outside of therapy, Manuel enjoys studying and implementing cultural approaches such as Reiki for healing and spiritual development, as well as playing the saxophone as a creative outlet for self-expression and joy.
